Understanding Wallet Setup
CryptoGate uses extended public keys (XPubs) to generate unique payment addresses for each transaction. This ensures maximum privacy and security for you and your customers.
What Are Extended Public Keys (XPubs)?
Extended public keys (XPubs, YPubs, ZPubs) allow CryptoGate to generate unlimited unique deposit addresses without ever having access to your private keys or funds.
Security Benefits
- Non-custodial: CryptoGate never holds your funds
- Private keys stay with you: We only see public addresses
- Unique addresses: Each transaction gets a new address
- Privacy-focused: Customers can't see your total balance
Never Share Private Keys!
Only provide extended PUBLIC keys (XPubs). Never share private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords with anyone, including CryptoGate support.
