Profile Settings

Business Information

Keep your profile up-to-date with accurate business information:

  • Business Name: Legal business name
  • Website: Your primary website URL
  • Industry: Select your business category
  • Description: Brief description of your business
  • Support Email: Customer support contact

Security Settings

Two-Factor Authentication (Strongly Recommended)

While 2FA is optional, we strongly recommend enabling it to protect your account, funds, and API keys from unauthorized access. 2FA adds a critical security layer beyond your password.

Setup Steps

1

Install Authenticator App

Download one of these apps on your smartphone:

  • Google Authenticator (iOS/Android)
  • Authy (iOS/Android/Desktop)
  • 1Password (Premium)
  • Microsoft Authenticator (iOS/Android)
2

Enable 2FA in CryptoGate

Navigate to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication and click Enable 2FA.

3

Scan QR Code

Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on screen. Alternatively, manually enter the secret key.

4

Verify Setup

Enter the 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app to confirm the setup.

5

Save Backup Codes

Download or write down your backup codes. Store them in a secure location separate from your device.

Important: Backup Codes

Your backup codes are the only way to access your account if you lose your authenticator device. Store them securely - we cannot recover them for you.

Why 2FA is Critical: Cryptocurrency accounts are high-value targets. 2FA ensures that even if someone obtains your password through phishing or data breach, they cannot access your account without physical access to your authenticator device.

Password Management

Use a strong, unique password for your CryptoGate account.

  • At least 12 characters long
  • Mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
  • Different from passwords used elsewhere
  • Use a password manager
  • Change password every 90 days

Session Management

Monitor and manage active sessions in Settings → Sessions.

  • View all active login sessions
  • See device and location information
  • Revoke suspicious sessions
  • Enable email notifications for new logins
